Weather Update # 4

Dear Pasadena ISD-

Pasadena ISD schools and offices will reopen tomorrow, Tuesday, January 27, 2026 on our regular operating schedule.

We want to extend our appreciation to the Pasadena ISD Maintenance, Operations, and Police Departments who worked throughout this winter weather event to ensure our campuses are safe, warm, and ready for everyone to return.

Thank you for your patience, flexibility, and continued partnership in keeping our students and staff safe.

The Home Stretch: How to Support Your Student in the Second Semester

As we continue into the second semester, we enter the home stretch of the school year, a time when expectations increase, routines matter more, and every day counts. While the semester feels like a fresh start, it’s also when students are asked to manage heavier workloads, meet important deadlines, and stay focused through the end of the year.

Parents can play a key role by supporting independence while maintaining accountability. We encourage families to check grades weekly through Skyward, prioritize consistent attendance, and help students plan ahead rather than wait until concerns arise. Asking questions like “What’s coming up this week?” or “What deadlines should we be aware of?” can open productive conversations without adding pressure.

For our seniors, this semester is especially important. Graduation requirements must be met, grades and attendance still matter, and postsecondary plans (ie - college, career, or military) require follow-through. Finishing strong helps ensure students are prepared for what comes next.
