The Maverick Minute

Vol. 5; Issue 1 - Thursday, August 7th, 2025

Welcome Back!

We are excited to see our Mavericks back from summer starting Thursday, August 14th. This day is a full school day where we will spend much of the day in homeroom getting our schedules and working with our homeroom teacher.

Each week we will post the Maverick Minute to share the ongoings for the week. For example we will share sports schedules, amended on campus schedules, etc. This week we are sharing a bit early to remind everyone of our Back 2 School Pep Rally for our incoming Mavericks!

Dress Code Reminders

This is a reminder of commonly mistaken dress code items. We do allow students to correct any dress code items 1st and 2nd period. However, if these are seen after 2nd period students will be sent to ISC.

Please be aware that many students cover dress code violations with jackets. They then lose the jacket at some point in the day and then are out of dress code. Please remind students that anything visible out of dress code will be addressed.
No caps, hoods, or head coverings are allowed. This is to ensure the safety of the campus.

Thank you for your help with ensuring the campus is safe and focused on instruction.

Friday (8/15)

Second official day

Beginning on Friday we will start our regular schedule. For the first few weeks we will go over specialized lessons where we will cover campus expectations, safety procedures, and instructional supports.

We will continue this schedule until we begin MavTime.
