Course Description
The study of Modern History will help you learn about forces that have shaped the world. It will also give you the chance to trace the historical background of contemporary issues and explore the significance of individuals, events and issues. In Year 12, for instance, you will learn about the rise of fascist, totalitarian and militarist movements after World War One. This, in turn, will help you develop an understanding of how a democracy can collapse, the impact of dictatorship on a society, and the threats that dictatorships can pose to peace and security.
