Learning Intention

We are learning how to use Google Suite so that we understand the different tools that help us in our learning. We are learning ways to perform different tasks in Google Suite so that we understand what teachers might ask us to do in class.

Success Criteria

I can access the different eLearning tools in the G-Suite
I have set up my email, subject folders and google classroom.
I understand the importance of being respectful on digital platforms and the need to take breaks from being online.

Digital Pause

A digital pause is a formalised break from being online, sending and answering emails and it gives you time away from your work to rest and rejuvenate.

At SPMC, students and teachers are asked to try not to send or respond to emails at the following times:

No email communication after 6pm Monday - Thursday
No email communication from 5pm Friday until 8am Monday morning

Why do we encourage this? We want you to walk away from your devices, and spend some time with your family and friends. We also think it is important for your wellbeing not to be working on your computer late at night and all weekend. Everyone needs a break at some point!
