• I can use PALS to understand what I'm writing, who I'm writing for, how to write and what to write

1. Group discussion:

• Have you used PALS in class?

• Have you seen PALS in assessment tasks?

• Why is knowing WHY you're writing and WHO you're writing for important in helping you to decide HOW and WHAT to write?

2. THINK about the most important ideas in the PALS rubric

3. PAIR UP - Work with partner to put PALS student rubric in your own words

4. SHARE your thinking with another pair. Did you miss anything? Do you need to remove anything?
