Teacher Guided Activity

1. Read the article together and summarise the main idea of the article.

2. Identify the main idea in the article and use TNK to show this.

3. Question students as to what information they can recall from the article that relates to the main idea.

4. Identify the related ideas in the article.

Question students as to what “in your own words” means. Students summarise the article in their own words on page 8.
