May 1: I AM the Bread of Life

 Scripture: John 6:35 

  "Jesus said to them, 'I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in me shall never thirst.'"

 Devotional: Reflect on Jesus as the Bread of Life, the sustenance for our souls. Just as bread nourishes our bodies, Jesus satisfies our deepest spiritual hunger.

 Prayer: Lord Jesus, thank You for being the Bread of Life. Help us to find our satisfaction and fulfillment in You alone. Amen.


May 2: Feeding Our Souls

 Scripture: Matthew 4:4 

  "But he answered, 'It is written, “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.”'"

 Devotional: Just as we need daily nourishment for our bodies, we require spiritual sustenance to thrive. Delving into the Word of God daily nourishes our souls and keeps us spiritually healthy.

 Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for providing Your Word as our spiritual food. Help us to hunger and thirst for Your truth daily. Amen.


May 3: Sharing the Bread

 Scripture: 1 Corinthians 10:17 

  "Because there is one bread, we who are many are one body, for we all partake of the one bread."

 Devotional: Sharing a meal creates bonds and fosters community. As followers of Christ, we're called to share the Bread of Life with others, spreading the joy and satisfaction found in Him.

 Prayer: Lord, teach us to share Your love and truth with those around us, that they may also taste and see that You are good. Amen.


May 4: I AM the Light of the World

 Scripture: John 8:12 

  "Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, 'I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.'"

 Devotional: Reflect on Jesus as the Light of the World, guiding us out of darkness into His marvelous light.

 Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for sending Your Son, Jesus, to be the light in our dark world. Help us to follow Him faithfully and reflect His light to those around us. Amen.


May 5: Guiding Light in a Dark World

 Scripture: Psalm 27:1 

  "The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?"

 Devotional: Just as a single candle dispels darkness in a room, Jesus' light drives away the shadows of sin, ignorance, and despair, illuminating the path to salvation.

 Prayer: Lord Jesus, shine Your light into the darkest areas of our lives and our world. Help us to walk in Your light and share it with those who are lost. Amen.


May 6: Lighting the Path of Truth

 Scripture: John 14:6 

  "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'"

 Devotional: In a world filled with confusion and falsehoods, Jesus' light reveals the truth, guiding us on the path of righteousness and leading us to the knowledge of God.

 Prayer: Gracious Lord, thank You for being the truth that sets us free. Help us to walk in Your truth and share it with others, that they may come to know You. Amen.


May 7: Reflecting His Radiance

 Scripture: Matthew 5:1416 

  "You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven."

 Devotional: Just as the moon reflects the light of the sun, we, as followers of Christ, reflect His light to the world, becoming beacons of hope and love in a darkened world.

 Prayer: Heavenly Father, empower us to be vessels of Your light, shining brightly in a world that desperately needs Your love and truth. May our lives reflect Your glory for all to see. Amen.


May 8: I AM the Good Shepherd

 Scripture: John 10:11 

  "I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep."

 Devotional: Reflect on Jesus as the Good Shepherd, who cares for His flock with love and tenderness.

 Prayer: Loving Shepherd, thank You for laying down Your life for us. Help us to trust in Your guidance and care, knowing that You lead us in paths of righteousness. Amen.


May 9: Tender Care

 Scripture: Psalm 23:1 

  "The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want."

 Devotional: Just as a shepherd tenderly cares for his flock, Jesus lovingly guides and protects us, leading us beside still waters and restoring our souls.

 Prayer: Gracious Lord, thank You for being our Shepherd. Help us to find comfort and security in Your loving care, knowing that You provide for all our needs. Amen.


May 10: Sacrificial Love

 Scripture: John 10:15 

  "Just as the Father knows me and I know the Father; and I lay down my life for the sheep."

 Devotional: A good shepherd is willing to lay down his life for his sheep. Jesus, the Good Shepherd, demonstrated His sacrificial love by laying down His life for us, His sheep, on the cross.

 Prayer: Gracious Savior, thank You for Your sacrificial love. Help us to understand the depth of Your sacrifice and to live lives of gratitude and service in response. Amen.


May 11: Personal Relationship

 Scripture: John 10:27 

  "My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me."

 Devotional: Sheep know the voice of their shepherd and follow him. Similarly, as Jesus' followers, we intimately know His voice through prayer and Scripture, and we faithfully follow Him wherever He leads.

 Prayer: Lord Jesus, help us to cultivate a deep and personal relationship with You. May we always be attuned to Your voice and obedient to Your leading. Amen.


May 12: I AM the Vine

 Scripture: John 15:5 

  "I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing."

 Devotional: Reflect on Jesus as the Vine and our connection to Him as branches, bearing fruit through abiding in Him.

 Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for grafting us into the vine, Jesus Christ. Help us to abide in Him daily, that we may bear much fruit for Your glory. Amen.


May 13: Drawing Life from the Vine

 Scripture: John 15:4 

  "Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me."

 Devotional: In Him, we find our sustenance. Just as branches draw nourishment from the vine, we find spiritual nourishment, strength, and vitality by abiding in Christ, the true Vine.

 Prayer: Lord Jesus, help us to remain connected to You, drawing our strength and life from You alone. May our lives bear fruit that honors and glorifies Your name. Amen.


May 14: The Gift of Abundant Life

 Scripture: John 10:10 

  "The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly."

 Devotional: Jesus offers abundant life here and now. In Him, we find fulfillment, purpose, and joy that transcends earthly circumstances, leading to a life of true significance.

 Prayer: Gracious Lord, thank You for the abundant life You offer us. Help us to live each May to the fullest, rooted in Your love and overflowing with Your joy. Amen.


May 15: Rising to New Life

 Scripture: Romans 6:4 

  "We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life."

 Devotional: Jesus offers us the opportunity for spiritual resurrection. Through faith in Him, we experience a transformation from spiritual death to life, being born anew into His kingdom.

 Prayer: Loving Savior, thank You for the new life we have in You. Help us to live as resurrected people, walking in the power of Your Spirit and bearing witness to Your grace. Amen.


May 16: I AM the Way, the Truth, and the Life

 Scripture: John 14:6 

  "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'"

 Devotional: Reflect on Jesus as the exclusive way to the Father, the embodiment of truth, and the source of eternal life.

 Prayer: Lord Jesus, thank You for being the way, the truth, and the life. Help us to follow You faithfully, trusting in Your guidance and relying on Your truth for our lives. Amen.


May 17: The Path to God's Presence

 Scripture: Hebrews 10:1920 

  "Therefore, brothers, since we have confidence to enter the holy places by the blood of Jesus, by the new and living way that he opened for us through the curtain, that is, through his flesh..."

 Devotional: Jesus is not just a guide; He is the way itself. Through Him, we have access to the Father and eternal fellowship with Him.

 Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for the new and living way opened to us through Jesus Christ. May we boldly approach Your throne of grace, knowing that we are welcomed into Your presence. Amen.


May 18: The Truth that Sets Free

  "And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free."

 Devotional: In a world of lies and deception, Jesus is the ultimate truth that sets us free from the bondage of sin and falsehood.

May 19: Life Eternal

  "And this is eternal life, that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent."

 Devotional: Jesus doesn't just offer temporary solutions; He provides eternal life that transcends the limitations of this world, offering hope and assurance for the future.

 Prayer: Gracious God, thank You for the gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ. Help us to know You more deeply each May and to live in the hope of the life to come. Amen.


May 20: The Doorway to God's Grace

 Scripture: John 10:9 

  "I am the door. If anyone enters by me, he will be saved and will go in and out and find pasture."

 Devotional: Jesus is the gateway to God's presence, grace, and abundant blessings.

May 21: Safety in His Embrace

 Scripture: Psalm 18:2 

  "The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold."

 Devotional: In a world filled with dangers and uncertainties, Jesus provides security and protection as the door of the sheepfold, guarding His flock from harm.

 Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for being our fortress and stronghold. Help us to find safety and refuge in Your loving embrace, knowing that You are our protector and deliverer. Amen.


May 22: His Voice Leads Us Home

 Scripture: John 10:2728 

  "My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand."

 Devotional: Just as sheep follow their shepherd through the door to safety, we are called to follow Jesus, our Good Shepherd, into the abundant life He offers.

May 23: The Eternal God

 Scripture: Revelation 1:8 

  "I am the Alpha and the Omega," says the Lord God, "who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty."

 Devotional: Unlike the fleeting nature of this world, Jesus remains constant and unchanging, from the beginning of time to eternity.

 Prayer: Eternal God, thank You for Your unchanging nature and Your everlasting presence in our lives. Help us to trust in Your faithfulness and to find our hope in You alone. Amen.


May 24: Ruler of the Universe

 Scripture: Colossians 1:17 

  "And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together."

 Devotional: Jesus is not just a part of history; He is the Lord of history, directing the course of events according to His sovereign will.

 Prayer: Sovereign Lord, thank You for Your dominion over all creation. Help us to trust in Your providence and to surrender to Your perfect plan for our lives and the world. Amen.


May 25: Hope that Never Fades

 Scripture: Romans 15:13 

  "May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope."

 Prayer: Gracious God, thank You for always being present with us. Help us to lean on Your strength and find refuge in Your loving embrace, especially in times of difficulty. Amen.


May 27: Living Stones in His Kingdom

 Scripture: 1 Peter 2:45 

  "As you come to him, a living stone rejected by men but in the sight of God chosen and precious, you yourselves like living stones are being built up as a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ."

 Devotional: Just as Jesus is the cornerstone of God's kingdom, we are called to be living stones, built upon Him, and offering spiritual sacrifices to God.

 Prayer: Lord Jesus, thank You for making us part of Your spiritual house. Help us to live as living stones, offering our lives as spiritual sacrifices that honor and glorify You. Amen.


May 28: His Steadfast Love

 Scripture: Lamentations 3:2223 

  "The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness."

 Devotional: Jesus' love for us is steadfast and unfailing, demonstrated by His faithfulness and mercy that are renewed every morning.

 Prayer: Gracious Lord, thank You for Your steadfast love and faithfulness toward us. May we experience Your mercy anew each May and live in the light of Your unfailing love. Amen.


May 29: Walking in His Ways

 Scripture: Micah 6:8 

  "He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?"

 Devotional: Jesus invites us to walk in His ways—to pursue justice, kindness, and humility. As we align our lives with His teachings, we reflect His character to the world.

 Prayer: Heavenly Father, help us to walk in Your ways each May. Grant us the strength and wisdom to pursue justice, kindness, and humility in all we do, reflecting Your love and grace. Amen.


May 30: Living Sacrifices

 Scripture: Romans 12:12 

  "I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect."

 Devotional: Jesus calls us to offer ourselves as living sacrifices, dedicated to His service and transformed by His truth. In doing so, we experience the fullness of His will for our lives.

 Prayer: Gracious Lord, may our lives be living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to You. Renew our minds and transform our hearts by Your Spirit, that we may discern Your will and walk in obedience to You. Amen.


May 31: Abiding in His Love

 Scripture: John 15:910 

  "As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Abide in my love. If you keep my commandments, you will abide in my love, just as I have kept my Father's commandments and abide in his love."

 Devotional: Jesus invites us to abide in His love, remaining steadfast in His affection and obedience to His teachings. In doing so, we experience the fullness of joy and intimacy with Him.

 Prayer: Loving Savior, thank You for Your unconditional love for us. Help us to abide in Your love and walk in obedience to Your commandments, that we may experience the depth of Your joy and intimacy with You. Amen.
