The Church Part 4 - Witnessing to the World

Matthew 5:14-16

You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.

The local church is a beacon of light in the world. It's a place where we learn to shine our light by living out our faith, serving others, and sharing the message of Christ. The church equips us to be a witness to the world.

As teenagers, you're often surrounded by peers who may not know Jesus. Your involvement in the local church empowers you to be a light in your school, neighborhood, and among your friends. When we gather as a church, we're strengthened and equipped to carry out Jesus' mission to make disciples of all nations.

Remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 5:14-16. You are the light of the world, and your actions and attitudes in everyday life can have a profound impact on those around you. When you live out your faith boldly and authentically, people will notice, and it opens doors for conversations about Jesus.
