WHAT WE ARE TEACHING THIS MONTH
Welcome to an exciting and transformative series in our Parkview Student Ministry! Over the next several weeks, we embark on a journey of discovery as we delve into the profound and life-changing statements of Jesus: "I AM."
In the gospel of John, Jesus makes a series of remarkable declarations, each beginning with the profound phrase, "I AM." These statements reveal not only His identity but also His mission, purpose, and the profound impact He has on our lives. From "I AM the Bread of Life" to "I AM the Vine," each statement offers a glimpse into the depth of who Jesus is and the abundant life He offers to all who believe in Him.
DAILY DEVOTIONS
We encourage parents and students to take some time each day to connect with God by reading his Word. Our daily devotions can be a great way to get started if you are not already doing so. You can click the link to access devotions reinforcing this month's teachings from Overflo. See our tip of the month to help you set up a routine for your daily time with God.
UPCOMING ACTIVITIES
If you are interested in participating in our Student Baptisms, please plan on joining us for this Baptism class, which will be held on Sunday, May 5, during group time at our Overflo service. The baptisms will be held the following week on Sunday, May 19, following our Overflo service.Â

REAL LIFE STUDENT CAMP

Parenting Tip of the Month:
As we reflect on the truths revealed in the "I AM" series, let's apply these lessons to our parenting:
Emphasize Identity in Christ: Just as Jesus declared, "I AM," teaching your children about their identity in Christ is crucial. Help them understand that their worth and value are not determined by worldly standards but by their relationship with Jesus. Encourage them to find their identity in Him, reminding them they are loved, chosen, and uniquely created for a purpose.
Model Trust in God's Provision: Like Jesus, who declared Himself the Bread of Life and the Good Shepherd, model trust in God's provision for your children. Show them that God provides for our needs just as Jesus provided for His followers. Demonstrate faith in God's faithfulness by prioritizing prayer, relying on His guidance, and trusting in His provision, even in difficult times.
Foster a Spirit of Resilience: Through Jesus' declaration as the Resurrection and the Life, instill a spirit of resilience in your children. Teach them that setbacks and challenges are opportunities for growth and transformation. Encourage them to rely on Jesus' strength and promise of new life to overcome obstacles and face adversity with courage and perseverance.
Cultivate a Living Faith: Encourage your children to cultivate a living faith in Jesus Christ. Just as Jesus is the Vine, nurturing and sustaining His followers, guide your children in cultivating a vibrant, personal relationship with Him. Help them understand the importance of abiding in Jesus daily through prayer, Scripture reading, and active participation in the Christian community.
Incorporating these principles into your parenting can help your children grow in their faith, identity, and resilience in Christ. Remember, you are not alone as you guide and nurture your children. Jesus, the Great I AM, walks alongside you, empowering you to raise children who know, love, and follow Him.
