GRADUATION REQUIREMENT: The New Jersey Department of Education requires all students to complete at least 2.5 credits in financial, economic, business and entrepreneurial literacy. The course must cover personal finance.
NOTE: In accordance with students’ IEPs, financial literacy course is also offered in the Resource Room environment, and the curriculum is scaffolded to support students’ specific learning goals.

This course counts toward the financial literacy requirement for graduation. This course is designed to educate students about the role money plays in the economy and how to wisely manage money earned. Topics include the role of banking, the responsible use of credit, insurance, investing, and personal financial decision-making.
