Musical Theatre Harmony & Collaboration is a four-day intensive designed to strengthen singers’ confidence, musicianship, and ability to work together in harmony. This program is open to students in grades 8-12 and will be led by Mrs. Brigitte Rottman.
Students will spend the week developing skills such as:
Holding harmonies with confidence and accuracy
Singing large musical theatre ensemble and choir numbers
Collaborating in duets, trios, and quartets
Listening, blending, and adjusting within a group
Building musical trust and communication
Through hands-on rehearsal and guided instruction, students will develop as both individual singers and collaborative performers, gaining tools they can apply in auditions, rehearsals, and productions!
In today’s theatre world, performers need to be just as confident auditioning from their living room as they are across a table. Audition for Table & Zoom Screen prepares students for both. This program is open to students in grades 8-12 and recent graduates (class of 2026), and will be led by Mrs. Brigitte Rottman.
Each workshop will begin with two hours of in-person instruction led by Mrs. Brigitte Rottman and local teaching artists, focusing on essential audition skills, including:
Preparing effective 32-bar cuts
Crafting compelling monologue performances
Clear storytelling, intention, and professionalism
Adjusting performance choices for live vs. virtual auditions
For the final two hours, students will join via Zoom with industry professionals who will observe performances and provide direct, constructive feedback—a rare opportunity to gain insight from working artists who regularly sit behind the audition table.
This immersive three-day experience is ideal for students preparing for school productions, summer stock, college programs, or professional auditions, and helps demystify the modern audition process while building confidence and polish.
This two-week Summer Film Workshop, led by Mr. Jonathan Council, is designed to immerse students in the complete creative process of filmmaking from idea to finished short film. The program is open to students in grades 9-12 and emphasizes hands-on, student-driven learning rather than passive lectures. Students will explore their own ideas, ask questions, experiment creatively, and problem-solve as real filmmakers.
The Summer Film Workshop is structured to reflect how films are actually made: a focused, fast-paced period of screenwriting followed by an extended production and post-production phase. Students will spend half a week developing their screenplay and one and a half weeks turning that script into a completed short film- all wrapping up on Thursday before the holiday weekend!
By the end of the workshop, students will:
Understand the basic components needed in any strong story
Create compelling characters and believable worlds
Learn how to tell a story through plot and structure
Write a short screenplay using proper screenwriting format
Translate a screenplay into a film through planning and collaboration
Work with and direct actors to capture strong performances
Edit footage into a polished final film
