Week beginning - Monday 16th March 2026
Take a peek at all the amazing things we've been learning this week!
This week Year 3 have been learning about ancient games. Children spent an afternoon this week exploring a variety of classic games from the past, including Rota and Senet. Children were tasked with comparing the game of the past, with the games they like to play now. This week we have also had a look at a selections of careers. We learnt about how it was common for children to follow in their family footsteps, so if your dad was a Blacksmith, then chances are that's what you would become. We learnt about how women would be allowed a job up until the point of marriage, when it would then become their 'job' to take care of the home, unless of course the men have all been summoned to go a fight a war.

For being an independent inquirer this week investigating careers from the past and the present, and for the wonderful effort she put into creating her own Ancient Egyptian style game. Well done Josephine!

Freya demonstrated great social skills in our science experiment work this week. She helped to pose a question about the human body to investigate, made a prediction and carried out the fair test. She was an active participant in her team. Well done Freya.
