Mr Moore's News Update
Dear Parents and Carers,
Welcome back!
I am delighted to welcome everyone back to school following the summer. I hope you all had a restful summer and enjoyed some of the fabulous weather we were blessed with. Upon returning to school it has been brilliant to see the children settling straight back into their new year groups so maturely and doing so with a smile and excitement to learn.
There have been so many comments on our new look learning environments; the classrooms look fantastic and we can't wait to officially open our new Music Suite and DT Hub once the finishing touches have been applied.
Unfortunately, the weather has been atrocious this past week so please ensure you are sending your child(ren) into school with a waterproof coat. We have had a lot of children coming into school already drenched, we will always do all that we can with spare uniform but please just ensure they come in wearing coats.
I must also raise awareness of safe parking in our community. The community traffic warden has already contacted me with images and reports of parents parking across people's driveways, on zig zagged yellow lines and being abusive when asked to move so that residents can access or leave their property. This is not acceptable. My absolute priority is child safety and zig zagged yellow lines are there to ensure safer crossing. We also must be respectful of our community and work together wherever possible. Blocking a driveway from access is illegal and will receive a penalty notice from the council if reported. Due to our limited capacity, our school site is also only accessible for taxis and allocated blue badge holders who have informed our office.
With regards to our updated uniform policy, I have received a small number of emails with useful questions. To clarify, should you have already purchased leggings for your child's PE lessons over the summer ahead of the school year then please continue wearing them. All I ask is that when your child grows out of them you purchase tracksuit bottoms instead, please do not double up on costs at this stage. Shorts must be as stated on the uniform policy and poster. Cycling shorts/Nike Pro are not appropriate for school.
Yours sincerely and have a lovely weekend,
Mr Moore

Noah climbed up 1,085m to the top of Mount Snowdon in Wales. It took just under 3 hours and the views were beautiful! The easy way to the bottom by train was fully booked so he hiked another 2 hours to get down!
Great work Noah - amazing!
Poppy represented the school brilliantly during the holidays at the VJ event in Paddock Wood. She learnt her poem and spoke so confidently which was commented on by many people that were in attendance. She did say it felt odd putting on a uniform mid summer holiday!
Thank you Poppy.
#WakeUpWednesday is a campaign by the National Online Safety organisation. It's designed to help parents and carers stay informed about the latest online trends and platforms that their children might be using.
Every Wednesday, a new guide or resource is released, offering simple tips and advice on how to keep children safe online. These guides cover a range of topics, from popular apps and games to general online safety issues like cyberbullying and privacy. The goal is to start a conversation between adults and children about staying safe in the digital world.
We will upload these guides/resources here every week.
