Week beginning - Monday 22nd September 2025
Take a peek at all the amazing things we've been learning this week!
This week we visited the Dover Museum to look at how different settlements through time have used their available resources to change how they live. We learned that the technological advances which early humans made were because they communicated and shared ideas with other people, who already knew how to use bronze and then iron to create tools. We looked at real artefacts from different times and made our own woolly mammoths! We have worked in groups to begin planning and building a diorama of a stone age settlement, thinking about what resources they will have needed in their settlements then and what resources we have available now to build.
In maths we are ordering numbers to 1000 and counting in 50s. In music we have continued learning our songs and how all the parts of the ukulele are used to create sound.

Max has proven himself to be a keen independent learner this week, after taking his learning from our recent school trip to Dover Museum home with him where he made his own Stone Age axe using a piece of flint and some wood.
Way to go Max!

Maci has been pushing herself in her maths this week. She has been trying each day to achieve more than the day before and has been helping us all learn by sharing her ideas and answers. We are very proud of her efforts.

Since the start of the term, Kovey has shown what a principled and reflective learner he is. Kovey always listens to feedback on how he can improve his work and is always keen to share and show his knowledge in every lesson! Keep it up!
