Week beginning - Monday 15th September 2025
Take a peek at all the amazing things we've been learning this week!Â
It has been a busy week in Year 3 this week, the place is buzzing with activity - we've been finding out how to make Stone Age axes and campfires. We've investigated extinct animals - and had an awful lot of fun trying to pronounce some of their names (how do you say 'indricotherium'...?). We've observed different types of rocks with our magnifying glasses as part of our scientific inquiries. We figured out how exactly how to Wash A Woolly Mammoth (apparently the trick is cake!). And we've been examining what makes a good settlement if you're living in the past or the present. We decided we prefer our houses because they have central heating and doors...

Ralph has been an absolute legend in class this week! Ralph is clearly STRIVING in every lesson to showcase the best of his abilities demonstrating outstanding resilience and determination in everything he does, taking part in every discussion and showing fantastic agency in his work - even if its hard. Ralph, we salute you!

What an amazing inquirer you have been this week Orson. You were an incredibly observant rock detective, looking carefully at the rock samples you were given, making detailed drawings of your observations and identifying the rocks from their properties. Great work Orson!

This term, Rupert has shown how much of a principled learner he has become, to go alongside his thinking and knowledgeable qualities. Rupert is taking time to solve complex Maths questions and setting a great example in the classroom. Keep it up!
