Mr Moore's News Update
Dear parents and carers,
I hope you have all had a brilliant week. We have seen fantastic approaches to learning and as a result great work being produced in books.
Your child(ren) may have been coming home talking about STRIVE. Strive is our new central point for behaviours for learning in the classroom. Not only does it embody our collective ambitions to be the best we can be, it gives all children (and staff) a reference point for the behaviours we expect at all times in the classroom. Staff and children alike will refer to Strive when discussing how we approach learning. House points are awarded for children demonstrating Strive in their learning and working their very hardest. Below outlines the meaning of each part of the mnemonic. I have been proud of how all children have been striving forward in their learning and doing so collaboratively.
I have noticed that some children are repeatedly arriving at school after 8:55 when our registers close. I must reiterate that arriving after 8:55 will set the children off on the backfoot. Our lessons start promptly and repeated lateness accumulates to a significant amount of lost learning time. If a child were to be 5 minutes late to school every day then cumulatively they would miss three days of school or 950 minutes of learning across the school year. The impact of this is can be very detrimental.
I would like to thank the majority of parents who are early and on time. The impact of these good habits is profound and ensures children start the day off positively and ready to learn.
Yours sincerely and I hope you have a restful weekend,
Mr Moore

#WakeUpWednesday is a campaign by the National Online Safety organisation. It's designed to help parents and carers stay informed about the latest online trends and platforms that their children might be using.
Every Wednesday, a new guide or resource is released, offering simple tips and advice on how to keep children safe online. These guides cover a range of topics, from popular apps and games to general online safety issues like cyberbullying and privacy. The goal is to start a conversation between adults and children about staying safe in the digital world.
We will upload these guides/resources here every week.
