Week beginning - Monday 22nd September 2025
Take a peek at all the amazing things we've been learning this week!
As part of their Inquiry learning, Year 2 have discovered why some plants and animals are suited to the habitats they live in. From the desert to the ocean, the children are confident in explaining why the living things are suited to their environments. They have written their own 'What Am I?' description of an animal and had lots of fun guessing the animals their friends were describing!
In maths this week, we have completed our learning on place value, with the children practicing counting in 2s, 3s, 5s and 10s. They have used both number lines and concrete resources to support them with their learning. The children demonstrated excellent number knowledge and are looking forward to moving on to addition and subtraction next week!
Year 2 have also learnt how to apply lots of reading and grammar skills. They have learnt about using commas in a list as well as possessive apostrophes. It has been such a wonderful week of learning in Year 2!
