This week we completed our narrative writing by discovering an alien creature on our fictional planets. The pupils use figurative language and prepositions to enhance their writing and help guide the reader. We have now moved on to biographical writing and are learning about Mae Jemison - the first African-American women in space.

We have continued our focus with fractions this week, looking at addition involving mixed numbers and proper fractions. 

Through our inquiry, we have developed our scientific knowledge of The Solar System, learning about the importance of the sun and its influence on the planets.
