Mr Moore's News Update
Dear parents and carers,
We are not only entering into the festive season but also a cold snap following a period of heavy rain. We have in place adverse weather plans and also gritting plans to make the site as safe as possible. I strongly advise that caution is taken when coming onto site. We cannot ensure that all areas are unfrozen and thus ask that you restrict children from running on site. We conduct our own assessments of risk before break, lunch, PE and clubs and desperately want to avoid any injuries. The same care must be taken in that scooters and bikes must not be ridden on the school property and in current conditions could be extremely dangerous. Staff will continue to remind but vigilance is key to prevent injuries.
The same vigilance must be applied when leaving the school site, please remain on pathways and avoid the carpark and the driveway. Choosing to walk in these spaces is very dangerous and a risk I do not want children and family members exposed to.
With so many events happening in the coming few weeks leading up to Christmas, please read our important dates section below. It details not only time and date but location as we are working closely with St Andrew's church this year in a very special set of performances that we hope you enjoy.
Yours sincerely and have a lovely weekend,
Mr Moore

Competition Rules
Students are invited to sign up with their class teacher to take part in this year’s talent show!
Perform solo or team up with up to 4 friends.
Each year group will hold a heat to select the top three acts, who will then advance to the final on 18th December.
Please think carefully about your choice of music or type of performance. While we can accommodate a variety of acts, space is limited, and props must be reasonably sized.
We can’t wait to see the amazing talents our students will share!
Prize
House Points for Winners!
1st place: 45 house points
2nd place: 35 house points
3rd place: 25 house points
Even if you don’t make it to the finals, you can still earn 3 house points—because confidence counts!
These points contribute towards your bronze, silver, and gold badges.
A massive thank you to Capel Cottage Nursery for their kind and generous donation of a wonderful Christmas Tree for us to have in school.
The children decorated it (and the hall) beautifully!
The local motorcycle group bought us a little tree for our reception area after hearing our old one was broken.
Thank you so much. It's the perfect size for our small reception area.
#WakeUpWednesday is a campaign by the National Online Safety organisation. It's designed to help parents and carers stay informed about the latest online trends and platforms that their children might be using.
Every Wednesday, a new guide or resource is released, offering simple tips and advice on how to keep children safe online. These guides cover a range of topics, from popular apps and games to general online safety issues like cyberbullying and privacy. The goal is to start a conversation between adults and children about staying safe in the digital world.
We will upload these guides/resources here every week.
