Reception Learning

In Reception we have been 'Springing to life' with our history topic.  The children have observed seasonal changes and learnt about botany.  We have enjoyed spring walks and drawing the flowers that we have found. 

Our 'Talk for Writing' story was 'Jack and the Beanstalk' and, linked to this, we planted beans and have been observing growth over time.  We loved having a family planting and story session! 

The children are making great progress in Phonics and with their writing. 

In Maths the children have deepened their number knowledge and are working well with a talk partner. 

We finished the term with a visit from Christchurch Ore to find out more about the Easter story and took part in some fun activities.
