Scholarship: UNK Opportunity Fund Scholarship

Description: This scholarship has been established by UNK alumnus, the late Paul Wagner. It provides tuition for up to four years, eight semesters to one entering freshman student annually.  To be considered for this scholarship you must not be receiving any academic scholarship from the University of Nebraska at Kearney. 

Eligibility Requirements: Additionally, you must submit answers to the following two questions:

1)      Describe a challenge or obstacle you have overcome in your life. How has this experience influenced who you are today?

2)      How will enrolling and graduating from UNK help you achieve the goals you have for your future? 

Your answers for both should fit on one 8 l/2 X 11 page and should be sent to the Office of Financial Aid.  Please indicate this is an application for the UNK Opportunity Fund.  Also please include your name, email address, and permanent home address on your application.

Application Deadline: Applications are due to this office by April 30th. A committee will review your answers and you will be notified of the committee’s decision by May 10th.
