Communication with Parents and Carers
At Riverside School, we strongly encourage all parents and carers to become actively involved in the education of their children. We are always open to new suggestions for fostering parental interest and involvement. We are in the process of establishing our Parent Council and will keep you informed about opportunities to get involved.
We communicate with parents and carers in various ways, including:
Newsletters: Regular newsletters will be sent to keep you updated on the work of the school and any important events or activities.
Letters: Important information requiring a response may be sent out in letter form.
School Bluesky and X: Our Bluesky and X accounts will contain a wealth of information about the school. We encourage you to check it regularly for updates, news, and events.
Meetings: Parents and carers are welcome to meet with school staff to discuss any aspect of their child’s development and progress. To ensure the best attention, we recommend making an appointment in advance. Throughout the year, there will be opportunities to discuss your child’s progress with staff.
Parents and carers are invited to attend various events throughout the school year, such as workshops, information evenings, class performances, award ceremonies, and religious and other assemblies. The school newsletter and website will keep you informed about these events.
Strong communication links between home and school help ensure that parents and carers feel confident in addressing any concerns they may have about their child’s education.
