We are delighted to announce that Riverside School has been awarded the sportscotland Bronze School Sport Award. This national recognition celebrates our commitment to promoting physical activity, improving opportunities for participation, and creating a positive sporting culture across the school.

What the Bronze Award Means

The Bronze Award highlights that Riverside School is:

• Providing pupils with regular opportunities to take part in a range of physical activities

• Encouraging positive attitudes towards health, fitness, and well-being

• Beginning to build strong foundations for participation, inclusion, and enjoyment in sport

• Supporting staff and pupils to develop confidence and skills through physical education and school sport

Looking Ahead

Achieving the Bronze Award is an exciting milestone for our school. We are now working towards the Silver School Sport Award, which will involve:

• Strengthening our pupil leadership in sport

• Building stronger links with community sport partners

• Continuing to embed physical activity into our wider school ethos
