For the past two seasons, I have had the privilege of being the Manager of Creative Content for Oxford Football. With this role I am the one to create and post content on our many social media accounts. This includes weekly graphics, uniform reveals, hype videos, final scores and anything else we want our fans to see. It's has been so fun to grow the accounts these past two years, and I am very proud to say that this football season we received 6 million views on our instagram account. It is so cool to be able to share Oxford football with people all over the country and to see people enjoy the work that I am putting out. I'm so thankful to have had the opportunity from our coaches.
To reveal the football uniform for each game this season, I released a video and a post of pictures to showcase what the Chargers would be wearing that Friday. I decided that I would invite famously known account Uni Swag (who posts many college and professional sports team's uniforms) to collaborate on our posts. Thankfully they accepted the first reveal and continued to collaborate with OHS football week after week. In collaboration with Uni Swag this season, the OHS football Instagram page received 1.7 millions views throughout the past two football season.
To get the fans ready for a playoff game, lots of marketing must go into that game. Although I used the same template every week throughout the regular season, I decided to change up the graphics for this years playoffs. I decided to give our fans the "Road to the Ship" showing our fans our path to get to the state championship. With high school sports, you don't get a lot of press in the community like a college team would. This makes it very important for me to advertise for every game so everyone knows what's going on, when it's happening and where they need to go.
To promote every football game this season, I designed a unique game poster for each matchup. Every Sunday, I went into Photoshop and began mapping out my vision for the week’s graphic. I started with a rough layout, placing individual elements across the page. From there, I blended and refined those elements to create a cohesive design that looked unified and dynamic. To the left, I’ve attached all of my game posters from this year. Below, I’ve included behind-the-scenes videos that showcase my creative process.
