Ever since I was little, I have loved designing. One of my favorite things I did as a kid was designing blueprints and making short picture books. There are so many different forms of desgin, and for me, it's so important that I am able to produce at a high level in as many aspects of design as I can. I have pushed myself to learn skills I wouldn't otherwise have used. With that came a lot of mistakes and trying again and again until I found a result I was happy with. Each year I have continued to get better with design and have been able to teach others what I have learned over the year. Below are examples of the many different forms of design that I have been able to create over the years.

2024 OHS Olympians package: To recognize our OHS alumni who were competing for team USA in the 2024 summer Olympics in Paris I designed this graphic package. First to wish them luck in their events, then others to celebrate their medials in their respective sports. It's not everyday that you have Olympians who graduated from your high school, so it was a very cool opportunity that opened up for me.

Crosstown Classic Rivalry Opinion double-truck: After rival Lafayette canceled the crosstown rivalry, I wanted to make sure my newspaper page and article showcased the historic rivalry in the best way I could. I flipped through digital copies of old yearbooks and newspapers finding pictures of the rivalry throughout the years. My favorite feature of the page is the tombstone I created marking the end of the crosstown classic forever. This was for sure one of my favorite newspaper designs that I have made in my four years one staff.

During the summer while planning production days, I knew I wanted to have a set that was unique to Oxford and showcased our school. I searched through other schools to see what they were doing and I continued to find corner sets branded to match their school. I did some more research and found the best and most efficient way for me to create this backdrop. I found a compant where I could order and 10x8ft backdrop that I could customise to my liking. I spend a long time designing the backdrop making sure that it perfectly represented our school. I have attached the final product of the backdrop and some pictures of our athletes in front of the set.

End Sheet: The OHS yearbook staff came to me and asked for help designing this spread for the very front of the yearbook. They wanted me to follow their scrapbook theme by making it look like there was hand drawings on a printed picture. I took the picture into Photoshop and began drawing along the picture as someone would in a scrapbook. I spent time picture brush textures and sizing making sure it looked as realistic as possible. The girls was very excited with the final outcome, and so was I. It was definitly a unique experince that I had never done before.
Coaches from our football, baseball and softball teams reached out to me asking for a schedule poster that they could have printed to be showcased around our community. When they I asked, I was so excited and got to work on the designs immediately. I knew I wanted to make sure that they all followed a similar theme while also having their individual characteristics that make them each unique.
