This assignment was an authentic assesment about Neo-Confucianism. In this assignment we had to research about the Neo-Confucianismm, in order to answer to answer the questions in 3 sentences or more. This relates to the unit we were currently working on because, we were talking about the Song dynasty in which they used Neo-Confuscianism as their main religion. I showcased my strenghts in this assignment by using my reasearch skills in order to recieve a 100% on this assignment. Also I was able to show how I am able to analyze evidence decently in order to show my point. What I learned from this assignment was to make sure my analyzation and research is on point and ensure that I used my class time wisely to complete this.
This assignment was a presentation on a specific nation (Great Zimbabwe) chosen by my group members (Kennedy, Melanie, and Paul) and I. The objective of this assignment was to research about discussion questions that would give our audience sufficient information about this nation without giving too much information. This assignment is related to the unit because it showed the analyzation of one of the many nations we learned about in the unit prior. Even though I got a 90% on this assignment I am still proud of it because it showed my peserverance and adaptation. Despite this, what I learned from this assignment was to be prepared for anything that could happen within a presentation. What I can improve from this assignment is to ensure that I do not stutter when I speak and to face the audience and give them my full attention while speaking to deliver the information fully.
This assignment was a quiz designed to assess our writing skills at the time. The objective of this assignment was to write an essay on a specific prompt given with a reading, which for this instance was Women's Rights in Latin America. This assignment relates to the unit by utilizing our writing skills to enhance them even more, in order to write more spectacular assignments in the near future. I am proud of this assignment because I feel that I excelled in this essay as I think it was the best essay I have written. What I have learned from this assignment was to trust in what you write and do not second guess yourself, and to also use your time wisely.
This assignment was a quiz on assessing our growth in writing since Marking Period 1. The objective was to write a paper analyzing a prompt, in this instance the Mexican Revolution. This assignment related to the unit because eventually we did go deeper into how the Mexican Revolution happened and if it was successful. I showcased my strengths in the assignment by using my strategy and what I learned from Marking Period 1 to write this. For example I used my time wisely and I even read for 15 min and wrote for 45 minutes. What I learned from this assignment is to keep up what I am doing as I discovered that I best for me.
This assignment was a project based on research. The objective of this assignment was to perform research on trade goods used in from 650-1500. There were guiding questions and also a paragraph to write after doing this research. This assignment relates to the unit because it talks about trading which we were talking about at the time. What I learned from this assignment was to preform better research about the topic given, and that it is ok if I do not find my results the first time. What I can improve from this assignment is to be careful of what trade goods I am using because the search process is very difficult.
This assignment was a test grade based on answering questions on a reading. This reading was about the Gujarat trade route and what and when they used this center to trade. The objective of this assignment was to answer questions based on this reading in 4-5 sentences (excluding the 2-paragraph question) in the given amount of time without writing or outlining beforehand. This assignment was challenging because to do this you would have to be a skilled reader and analyzer, which I am not yet. What I learned from this assignment is to enhance my writing skills and to have a better understanding of the text that I read. What I can improve from this assignment is my analyzing skillset.
This assignment was a writing assessment that was supposed to be done when my teacher was not around. This assignment's prompt was to "Contrast how religion accepts money vs. how government accepts money in the period 600 to 1500 B.C.E". During this assignemt we had 2-3 days to complete classwork and an essay based on what we learned in the classwork as well as following the prompt. This assignment showcased my strengths because it showed how well I could follow a prompt and how easily I could analyze evidence and connect it to a specific prompt like this one. I am proud of this assignment because it killed my doubts of my writing ability. I recieved an 100% on this assignment. What I learned from this assignment was to never doubt myself what I think I could do.
This assignment was the Industrial Revolution Project. The objective of this project was to choose a specific type of project I would like to do, and execute it using a chosen invention. The type of project I chose was a letter of induction, and the invention I chose was the Spinning Jenny. The Spinning Jenny was another form of the spinning wheel but more advanced than that. Made in 1764 it was made to increase the speed and efficiency of the spinning wheel. What I learned from this assignment was to create a letter which seems real. I also need to create a story that signifies the importance of this invention. What I need to improve from this assignment is to create scenario that makes this letter seem real.
This assignment was an essay on child labor. The objective of this was to write an essay based on the research that was done on child labor during the time my teacher was not around. This assignment fit the overall unit by going deeper into the industrial revolution and how it also affected children. This assignment showcased my strengths because it showed how good I could write within a limit of 3-5 days to do an assignment. I am proud of this assignment because I received a 98% which means I probably only had a few grammar errors. What I learned from this assignment is to double check my spelling and grammar on every assignment because you never know what errors you might have.
This assignment was a unique story. The objective of this assignment was to create a cohesive, funny and creative story that uses 10 of the vocabulary we learned. I am proud of this story because it was witty and funny but also made sense when I read it. I was a little skeptical about submitting it because of how funny it was because seriousness is also important when writing this story. This story showcased my strengths because it showed my ability of crafting stories that enable my comedic side, and had me express who I was through the story. What I learned from this assignment is to not doubt my writing and always go with my mind tells me to write, because you never know what it could give you.
This assignment was a quiz grade following up on the classwork about the Cold War. The objective was to write paragraphs about what appealed to Latin American countries to support communism. I struggled with this assignment because, from the classwork, I didn't understand how these countries were attracted to communism. So, writing about this topic was very difficult for me. What I learned from this assignment was to understand the topic I am going to be writing about before writing it, else I will have no idea how to write it. What I could improve on in this assignment is to use details and evidence to show more of how Latin countries were attracted to communism.
This assignment was an essay on a political cartoon. The objective of this assignment was to either create my own political cartoon or write and essay using evidence to analyze an existing one. Even though this assignment was a grow I am very proud of this assignment as I received 100% on it. The reason for putting in the grow category on the other hand is because I still feel that it could be a better essay, and my proving of evidence could be better. Considering that this was one of the last assignments in the whole year, I felt that I could've used all my essay skills in which I learned throughout the year to make this essay the best one. What I learned from this assignment was to involve all my previous essay knowledge to make this the best. What I could improve for the future is to enhance my analysis towards evidence more.
