This assignment was a district assesment based on what we learned on the topic free fall. The objective of this assignment was to reflect on our learning on free fall and other basic physics terms we learned in marking period one. This assignment showcased my strengths by giving me a score that displays how good I am at calculating and finding free fall of objects. I learned from this assignment that taking notes and actually paying attention in class will pay off when it comes to tests. Connections from this test I could make to real life are how free fall occurs around everyday such as leaves falling from a tree or rain falling from the sky.
This assignment was a Pre Lab Quiz based on Free Fall Acceleration. The objective of this assignment was to get ready to preform a lab by completing this quiz that was mainly on giving directions. What I learned from doing this assignment was to make sure to read the directions before answering the questions. What was challenging about this assignment was that it was the beginning of a unit which we did not learn anything about yet. How I would improve this assignment would be to review my answers by looking again at the directions to see if they are correct. Things I could connect to this assignment could be that in real life people do not listen to directions from their parents, but then get the task wrong. This could be a relation to what I did here.
This assignment was a test based on Magnetism. The objective of this assignment was to be assessed on what was previously learned on the topic, and to apply the right knowledge in order to pass. What I learned from this assignment was to be able to take more educated guesses and to study my equations more often. During this test I observed that I took more guesses than what I actually knew on the test. This test showcased my strengths by using my guessing and prior knowledge skills in order to get 95% on it. This assignment lastly, connects to the real world because it displays how magnets will be used in the future such as in a project or to find out proportions of magnets compared to a fridge.
This assignment was a Pre-Lab Quiz based on Coulomb's Law. The objective of this assignment was to use prior knowledge and directions to complete the pre assesment, before the actual lab. This assignment fit into the unit by being the first step into getting to know the unit we are going to working on. What I learned from this assignment was to follow directions a little more and to use what surrounds me to find out new things, that potentially will be a new topic in physics. I would improve this assignment by finding out about the topic more so next time I could get a better grade. This lastly, connects to the real world by using Coulombs law to find the charge of different objects such as a battery.
This assignment was a optional Authentic Assesment based on seat belt safety. On this assignment I recieved a 99%. This connects to the real world because it shows how seatbelts can save lives by opposing the momentum and energy of the crash. This also connects because it ensures that women crash test dummies can finally be included in the crash test safety procedures, in order to save more lives. This assignment showcased my strengths by using the CER format which, I excel at so far. What I learned from this assignment is how to explain evidence in order to support a claim more elaboretly.
This assignment was a homework grade, about designing an egg transport vehicle. On this assignment I recieved a 70% as a grade. This connects to the unit by explaining why secureness and safety is important in the real world. What I learned from this assignment is to work more thouroughly and to use my time more wisely when designing something, because you never know when something could go wrong. The objective of this assignment was to build a vehicle that could secure an egg throughout a bracket of going against other eggs. What I could do to improve this assignment more is to put more effort into doing the design.
This assignment was a quiz on the amount of current, voltage, and power inside of a parellel or series circuit. On this assignment I received a 96%. This assignment showcased my strenghts because it showed how I am good at calculating current, and also how I am good at using previous information to answer future questions. What I learned from this assignment was to review a quiz with your teacher, because that is what I did unintenionally to recieve that grade.
This assignment was a Test based on the first part of the waves unit. The objective of this assignment was to use to information that we learned so far about waves to test our ability to sustain this information for an assessment. On this assignment I received a 76%. What I learned from this assignment was to study beforehand if test is known about. What I could do to improve on this assignment is to think hard about the question before submitting answer and to look over my answers more before handing in the test.
