Statement of Inquiry: To communicate about school in different countries, it is necessary to understand the grammar patterns and structure of language.

Assessment:アセスメント
1) Reading Test: students view a text with pictures about school in Japan on their own laptops while answering multiple choice comprehension questions. Students are marked on demonstration of reading comprehension.
2) Speaking Test: students work in small groups to produce a video tour of Island School in Japanese. All students appear in and speak in the video. Students are given a three-part structure to follow when producing the video. Video length - 1 to 2 minutes. Students are marked on pronunciation and content.
