You will study GCSE Science and will follow the AQA Trilogy GCSE Science course which has an emphasis on scientific literacy – the knowledge and understanding that learners need to recognise the impact of science and technology on everyday life.
By studying a wide variety of content concerned with Biology, Chemistry and Physics this course will equip you to make decisions during your life about Science related issues.
You will leave school with 2 GCSEs in combined science. The grade is a combined grade over six terminal exams. Science is a tiered paper, pupils can sit foundation or higher. Foundation is grades 10 to 55 and Higher is 44 to 99. The demand is very different between the papers.
6 exams, two Biology based, two chemistry based and two physics based, each lasting 1hr 10 minutes.
Progression on to Additional science, A level and KS5 studies. Science is highly regarded as a key way subject for a number of courses.
