No matter which career path you choose, you are going to work for a business (or run your own). Business GCSE is designed to give you a real understanding of what makes a business successful and the decisions that will need to be made to support this.
Business GCSE will also help you to develop key problem-solving skills and the attributes an entrepreneur needs to turn an idea into a business.
The qualification is made up of two examinations.
Theme 1 - Investigating Small Business: concentrates on the key business concepts, issues and skills involved in starting and running a small business. It provides a framework for you to explore core concepts through the lens of an entrepreneur setting up a business.
Theme 2 - Building a Business: examines how a business develops beyond the start-up phase. It focuses on the key business concepts, issues and decisions used to grow a business, with an emphasis on aspects of marketing, operations, finance and human resources.
