NARCAN® is a Narcan (Naloxone)
Naloxone is a life-saving medication that can reverse an overdose from opioids—including heroin, fentanyl, and prescription opioid medications if it is given in a timely manner. Sadly there have been episodes of imposter candy in the local news that is laced with drugs given to young children. If you know someone who may be using illicit drugs and is at risk for overdose, having Narcan and knowing how to use this medication can help to save a life. OLH/SL has Narcan for emergency use located in each AED station and in the Health Suite.
