Vaccinations

Required immunizations for school students in the State of Maryland can be found at:

Immunization Requirements 2023-2024 

Children entering preschool must have the needed vaccines in order to start school.  

Students entering Kindergarten must have two (2) doses of MMR and two (2) doses of Varicella.

Students entering Grade 7 must have one (1) dose of Tdap and one (1) Meningococcal vaccine. 

Vaccinations should be completed prior by the 20th calendar day of the school year unless there is a documented plan in place.

I will send reminders in the spring to families for students currently in Pre-K 4 who will be entering Kindergarten next year and families of current Sixth Grade students who will be entering Grade 7 next year to provide you adequate time to get vaccinations over the summer months.  Please contact me if you wish to discuss Medical or Religious Exemptions.

Annual Influenza vaccines are always recommended unless medically contraindicated, but not required; likewise, COVID-19 vaccinations are recommended but not required.  

I encourage you to speak with your own health care provider to discuss your questions about Flu and COVID-19 vaccinations; however, I am happy to help provide you vaccine information to help you make an informed decision.

New students are also required to have a completed Health Inventory Form.  This is essential for the safety of your child/children at school. Health Inventory Form.
