February 1^st marks the beginning of Black History Month. This Month is an opportunity for all Canadians to learn about the many contributions Black Canadians have made to Canada. It's also a time to lean in; to listen to the voices of courageous black Canadians; to be fully present to what they have to say to us today. Their message continues to uncover important work to be done , it calls us to meet the challenges of our times with courage and humility.
