1. The new economy depends on people who can find and interpret information and turn it into new ideas. For example, "frequent flyer" programs were developed because someone looked at information about ticket sales and flight patterns, realized that frequent flyers represented value for an airline, and created the idea of rewarding repeat customers with travel points. Brainstorm other examples of situations where people successfully turned information into business opportunities. (3 marks)
