Chapter Nine

Section 9.1: You will create a survey and learn how to avoid bias in creating survey questions. You will learn the importance of randomness in observational studies.

Section 9.2: You will perform an experiment and contrast other experiments with observational studies such as opinion surveys. You will learn the importance of randomness for experiments.

Section 9.3: You will construct relative frequency histograms. When the conditions are appropriate, you will model the relative frequency histogram with a normal distribution. With the help of a calculator, you will use the model to find the proportion of the sample (or population) with certain characteristics.
