Section 11.1: You will perform simulations to determine complex probabilities. Then you will use simulations to determine sample-to-sample variability. You will use the variability to put a margin of error on characteristics you predict about a population.
Section 11.2: You will use what you know about sample-to-sample variability and margin of error to conduct a statistical hypothesis test. You will observe the effect of sample size on sample-to-sample variability. Then you will use a hypothesis test to determine whether two results in an experiment are truly different. Finally, you will learn how statistics are used in quality control and process control in manufacturing.
Section 11.3: You will evaluate decisions and strategies based on area models of probability. You will use probability to solve problems whose solutions are counterintuitive.
