Calling all student artists and storytellers!
OCV News: The Virtual Voice is currently looking for student submissions of comics to showcase in its all new Comics Court!
Comics Court is a gallery of student-created comics that will appear in the paper each month. Whether you’re an artist of many years, or just want to give comic making a go, we are looking to show off your comics in OCV News: The Virtual Voice.
Each month, Comics Court will have a new theme for students to use in their comic creation. How you interpret this theme is completely up to you as long as it’s kept school appropriate. Everyone is welcome to submit their work to appear in the paper and is encouraged to go check out the amazing comics that your fellow students have created.
For this month’s edition of Comics Court, students were asked to make a comic based around the theme of winter. I would highly recommend you take a look at the amazing artwork they created, which can be found below.
Welcome to Comics Court, we hope you enjoy your stay!
With 2020 being almost at its end, many of us have experienced a year that was truly unlike any year we'd seen before. Among all the crazy, all the good and all the bad, 2020 has truly been a year in the making.
For the next issue, we want to see comics about your 2020 experience. Is there a specific memory you'd like to share? A funny moment that happened during virtual school?
Or maybe you'd just like to express your hopes for next year or your 2021 New Year's resolution as we finally kick 2020 to the curb.
Whatever you choose, Comics Court is looking to hear your stories about the past as we embrace a brand new year!
Submissions of comics for the January 26 issue are due Monday, January 18.
