The Green Industries program teaches about sustainability, horticulture, forestry, floristry, agriculture, and landscaping. This course is offered to both grade 11 (IDC3O) and grade 12 (IDC4O, IDC4U) students, and because it runs in both spring and fall, anyone can take the course twice to learn through a full cycle of seasons. Based in our beautiful courtyard, students get to plant and tend to native flowers and vegetables, trim trees and bushes, feed birds, and visit local watersheds and forests. Indoors, students take part in a large community project, growing and giving away over 1000 seedlings to build butterfly ways, as well as design floral arrangements for our classrooms.
