Welcome to Brookfield's thriving and diverse Arts Department. We offer a variety of visual arts, music, drama and photography classes for students in all grades. Whether you're looking to pick up a new skill or are an experienced artist hoping to hone your craft, we have a place for you. From our annual school play to the spring Arts Night to the spring Music Night, our students have multiple opportunities to showcase their talents and celebrate their achievements.
Students interested in Visual Arts can take Visual Arts (AVI1O) in grade 9 and then have the option of Visual Arts (AVI2O/AVI3M/AVI4M) and Crafts (AWA2O/AWA3M/AWA4M) in grades 10, 11 and 12.
Explore the world of music at our Brookfield! The Music Department offers a variety of courses to help students develop their musical talents and passions.
Dive into the fundamentals of playing with Guitar Class (AMG), or explore a range of instruments in Wind, Brass, and Percussion Class (AMU). For those looking to take their skills to the next level, our year-long Band course provides students with the opportunity to perform and expand their repertoire. The band rehearses two days a week before school and is available for credit.

There are drama courses available for students in every grade (ADA1O/ADA2O/ADA3M/ADA4M) who are interested in performing and learning more about theatrical productions. Brookfield's Drama Department are instrumental in putting on Brookfield's Remembrance Day Ceremony each year. Brookfield also has a Drama Club which put on a play each year. Last year, students competed in NTN Dramafest, performing the plays PlayJa Vu and Between the Bells.
Senior students with an interest in photography have the opportunity to take photography in grade 11 (AWQ3M/3O) and grade 12 (AWQ4M). Photography students will learn how to use professional camera equipment and how to skillfully edit photos using Photoshop. They will also take photos of school teams, clubs, and events and frame and display photos in the school and community.
