Welcome to Brookfield's Physical Education Department! We offer a variety of courses from grades 9-12, which help students stay active, foster healthy habits and develop their strength and endurance. In grade 9, students are required to take Healthy Active Living (PPL1O) either in a gendered or Co-ed class. After grade 9, there are a variety of elective options for students to choose! Students who enjoy playing team sports are encouraged to take Healthy Active Living (PPL2O, PPL3O and PPL4O) throughout their high school career. Students who prefer developing personal fitness goals are encouraged to take Personal Fitness (PAF2O, PAF3O and PAF4O). Students who are specifically interested in basketball are encouraged to take our Leadership Through Basketball course (PAL2O, PAL3O and PAL4O). Senior students interested in pursuing further learning in human development are encouraged to take Introductory Kinesiology (PSK4U). Leaders in Brookfield's Athletics Department are encouraged to take Athletic Leadership (PLF4M) to facilitate intramurals, organize tournaments and host important school events.
