The tuition amount is the same for international and domestic students. The cost of attendance may vary depending on the number of credits (units) required to complete a particular graduate program and whether you are attending part-time or full-time.
A student's educational expenses are assessed each semester and are based on the number of credits (also known as "points") for which he or she registers. In addition to tuition, students also pay registration/student service fees. The Board of Trustees of New York University reserves the right to alter the schedule of fees without notice. We expect a moderate increase in tuition and registration/service fees each academic year.

A: Once a class is closed it is not available for registration, this means the class has reached Room capacity and you can only waitlist.
Things to note about the waitlist:
Once a class is closed, you can add yourself to the waitlist using Albert. If a seat opens in the class, the first person on the waitlist is automatically enrolled.
Being on a waitlist does not guarantee enrollment. So you should always be prepared to enroll in another course as a backup.
Keep in mind that not all classes offer a waitlist option, and waitlists may become full.
When a seat in a class becomes available, the student at the top of the list is automatically enrolled in the class, and everyone moves up a spot.
Additionally, if you are on the waitlist for a class, you should set up an edit swap so that if you are taken off the waitlist for a class and enrolled, a class you are enrolled in can be dropped. The Edit swap allows you to add yourself to the waitlist without losing your seat in your enrolled class.
Even if seats open up, you will not be enrolled in a class off a waitlist if:
1. The meeting time conflicts with another class in which you are currently enrolled.
2. You are already enrolled in another section of the same class.
3. The credit units from the waitlisted course will put you above your maximum credit limit for the term.
If you try to enroll in another open section of the same course that you are already waitlisted for, you will be automatically dropped from the waitlisted section. To avoid this, first enroll in the open section, and then set up a swap for the waitlisted section.
You are not permitted to attend a course you are not officially enrolled in.
Please note that Schack instructors do not manage course enrollment, requisites, or the registration process; thus, they cannot override or waive any policies. You have until the add/drop period to make changes to your schedule. Please make sure to always check the NYU Calendar for deadlines.
