NYU has a number of different platforms that students must learn to navigate.
NYUHome is NYU’s main web portal. Once authenticated with your NYU NetID and password, the site provides you with access to a variety of academic, work, and university life services.
The NYU class schedule is available on Albert. Check your enrollment appointment day and time. Go to your Albert Student Center and at the top of the home page you will see the "Enrollment Dates" section. Appointment days and times are based on the Eastern Time zone. Appointments are prioritized by earned credit amount (excluding credits in-progress).
Some holds - like the Advisor Clearance Hold, Missing Credentials hold, or a past due balance - may block you from registration. Click on a Hold in the "Holds" section to see contact and resolution information.
NYU LMS (Brightspace) is an online learning environment where you will:
Find your syllabus, course materials, and upcoming assignments
Submit coursework
Connect with instructors and classmates
Check Important announcements
NYU LMS (Brightspace) Student Training
NYU Brightspace Pulse is a mobile app that can help learners stay connected and on track with their courses in NYU Brightspace.
It provides one easy view of course calendars, readings, assignments, evaluations, grades, and announcement items. The app can help learners make better decisions about how to handle workload, when to submit assignments, and when to prepare for tests. Real-time alerts can let learners know when classes are canceled, rooms are moved, or new grades are available. The schedule view and weekly visualization enable learners to quickly view what is due today, this week, and upcoming across all their courses.
Navigate in NYU Brightspace Pulse
Enrollment changes in Albert can take up to 24 hours to be reflected in Brightspace.
Not all courses use Brightspace.
If courses are listed below, they are not yet active/visible to students. Contact the instructor for updates.
NOTE: Course shells are manually activated by faculty. If you have registered for classes in Albert and classes are not visible in Brightspace, this means your faculty has not activated their classes. We suggest you reach out to the faculty directly.
Handshake is the Wasserman Center's career development platform for jobs, internships, events, and more!
