Congratulations on being accepted into the NYUSPS Schack Institute of Real Estate! We look forward to welcoming you to our dynamic and increasingly global community of students, scholars, alumni, and partners in the industry.
You will need to wait at least 24 hours from the date of viewing your acceptance message to activate your NetID and follow the steps outlined below.
Included in your acceptance message is your NetID, a unique alphanumeric code that NYU assigns to you (e.g., xyz123). Your NetID is not your University ID number (which is a 9-character ID number starting with a capital N).
You will use your NetID and password to access your NYUHome account, which is a customizable web interface that links you to your NYU email account as well as other systems and tools.
Follow these steps to find your NetID from any Internet-connected computer:
Go to the NYU Start page: start.nyu.edu.
Click on the Find NetID card.
Enter your University ID (e.g., N12345678) and Date of Birth (format: mm/dd/yyyy).
Complete the CAPTCHA test and click Search.
Your NetID provides access to authorized NYU online services and applications via desktop computers, laptops, and mobile devices, including end-user devices such as laptops. Your NetID is also used to create your default NYU email address (i.e., aqe123@nyu.edu).
University offices, including Admissions, Financial Aid, the Bursar, Housing, and Student Affairs, will communicate with you ONLY via your NYU Email account. It is imperative that you check your NYU Email account regularly.
IT Support: If you are still unable to activate your NetID, contact the IT Service Desk for assistance.
We hope you will join our incoming class! Whether you've decided to join the NYUSPS Schack community or you're choosing to decline our offer, please let us know your decision.
To reserve your place in the program, please complete the online enrollment form (found on your acceptance letter).
Students who previously deferred: You must re-accept your seat through your Application Status Portal.
Credit Card, or Electronic Check (Recommended): Please log into your Application Status Portal and navigate to the Reply Form for detailed instructions on accepting your offer and submitting your tuition deposit via credit card or electronic check. The preferred methods of payment are credit cards or electronic checks. This non-refundable deposit will be applied to your first semester's tuition when you enroll.
If those options are not available to you, you may mail your tuition check or money order by your deposit deadline payable to "New York University" at the following address:
NYU BURSAR OFFICE
383 Lafayette St
New York, NY 10003
ATTN: Tuition Deposit
The check or money order must be in US funds only; be sure to include your University ID number and Enrollment Term in the memo section.
NOTE: You must submit your tuition deposit before being able to register for classes. Students will not be matriculated into their programs otherwise.
Click here for instructions on registering for classes.
Once you have accepted our offer by paying your tuition deposit, NYU will activate your NYU email account in late October for Spring admission and early March for Summer/Fall admission. Most university offices, including Graduate Admissions, Financial Aid, the Bursar, Housing, and Student Affairs, will communicate with you exclusively via your NYU email account. Be sure to check it often.
To access your NYU email account, log into NYUHome and then search for the NYU Email card. If you're using a mobile device or desktop application, review our setup instructions. You can also use: Login: email.nyu.edu
NOTE: You may not receive access to your NYUEmail until after you have been matriculated into the program.

Official transcripts are required to complete your enrollment at NYUSPS as follows:
One final transcript showing the conferral of your undergraduate degree (baccalaureate or equivalent). It must list the date the degree was awarded and the title of the degree.
One final transcript from any institution at which a degree was conferred (e.g. if you received a master's degree).
One final transcript or degree certificate from any institution at which you did graduate-level work, even if a degree was not conferred
The Office of Admissions strongly encourages students to submit all official documents electronically. If your university provides official e-transcripts (eScripts, Parchment, National Student Clearinghouse, etc.), please have them sent to spsdocuments@nyu.edu. Alternatively, a representative from your University may email the transcript on your behalf to spsdocuments@nyu.edu. The sender must identify themself (by name and provide their title with institution contact information) as an official administrator of the institution, college, or university, and the email address must be verifiable on the school's website. The Office of Admissions will not accept transcripts submitted by you or agents acting on your behalf. For a transcript to be considered final official, it must be received directly from the university, have all final grades, and have a degree conferral date.
If your university is unable to send official transcripts via email or electronic delivery service, a hard copy can be mailed to the address below. Please note that due to the transition to remote work, all physical documents submitted to the Admissions Office may experience processing delays.
NYU Registrar's Office

Copies of your transcripts scanned and uploaded by you with your online application are not considered final or official.
If your plans for graduate study have changed, or if you have questions, please contact the Office of Admissions at sps.admissions@nyu.edu immediately for assistance or spsdocuments@nyu.edu.

Most students are automatically enrolled in and charged a premium for an NYU-sponsored student health insurance plan (NYU-sponsored plan) as part of the course registration process. NYU Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), which uses the Duo Mobile app, helps confirm your identity and adds a critical layer of security to protect your online data and NYU’s network. Using MFA makes it harder for others to log in and steal your data. This second layer of account protection is required for all NYU accounts.
