Payroll-Leave/Sabbatical

Payroll Changes

The 9 month academic year salary is normally disbursed over 12 months (six installments for the fall semester and six for the spring semester 10/1 through 9/1).

If you are on leave for the full Academic Year, payroll will reflect the terms of your leave for the pay dates noted above.

If you take leave in the fall, the first six pay dates of the year will reflect the terms of your leave (issued as applicable on the first of the month in October, November, December, January, February, and March).

Your normal payroll will resume on April 1.

If you are on leave in the spring, the final six pay dates of the year will reflect the terms of your leave beginning April 1 (issued as applicable on the first of the month in April, May, June, July, August, and September).

Your normal payroll will resume on October 1.

Please note that PeopleSync (WorkDay) will display leave status in accordance with relevant payroll dates.

Awards/Fellowships

If your leave arrangements involve external funding, and you wish to have your award/fellowship paid via NYU payroll, selecting this option via OASIS confirms you are attesting to the fact that the external agency/foundation covers NYU's fringe rate of approximately 30% in addition to the award. Where this is not the case, please select the option to receive payment directly from the agency/foundation.
