Phone Photography

I found this assignment to be the most useful as far as everyday life goes because whether I continue with photography after this class or not I'll always take photos on my phone. This assignment showed me that I can take the little things I learn in this class and apply it to something we do everyday. This assignment was fun and I enjoyed doing it.

Selfies

(Center) I really liked this photo because of how the photos focal point is balanced and takes up the whole screen and has little negative space. The lighting in the is nice and puts emphasis on the focal point. It also helps that the smile is genuine.

Foodies

The photo above is balanced well and shows the focal point, the roll, in the center and the smaller items on the sides. The photo also shows little to no negative space. I also liked the added color of the items I choose which also adds to making the food look appetizing.

Roomies

For the roomies I choose the nursing room because of how big the classroom is and because I could take many different angles. I really liked the picture above because of the balance and unity in the beds. The viewers eye goes straight to the main bed in the center and then follows down to the other beds.

Friendies

In the center photo I got to use the portrait mode on my phone to make the background blurry. Zach is well centered in the photo and the tree in the background helps fill the negative space. I also like that he posed on the Z and his name begins with Z.

Backgroundies

The photo in the center was taken at the bridge of New York New York. In this photo I used what we learned in framing to use the bridge to frame the Eiffel Tower in the background. I like how this photo has different layers to it and the outside shows the bridge, then the eye goes the the lamps and the banners on then. The eye then goes to the main focal point of the tower.
