This assignment was quite interesting for me. I found that it was difficult to take straight pictures with proper exposure from my phone. However, I learned how to find unique subjects and use different angles to take good pictures. Overall, this assignment will help me be able to take better pictures on a daily basis, without an expensive camera.
Friendies
This is a picture of my puppy and it has a great emphasis on him. He is directly in the center of rule of thirds and the colors in his fur provide interesting contrast from the surroundings. Additionally, the lighting adds unity to the picture.
Foodies
This photograph has a successfully aligned bowl of cereal as a focal point. The metal spoon in the corner adds contrast to the picture and makes it more interesting.
Selfies
This image has great use of color and lighting which prevents a distracting glare from the glasses. It also has a strong focal point, without any excess space above my head.
Roomies
This picture (above) of my bedroom shows a lot of variety throughout the furniture and colors. There is an overall great amount of the room shown and the picture feels complete.
Backies
This photograph is very colorful and unique. It successfully shows the texture of several pieces of candy and has an overall sense of balance.
