Titleist Pro V1 Review by yahoo finance
For my first "Reviewing Reviews" segment, I have decided to compare and contrast my review to Yahoo Finance Pro V1 review to my Pro V1 review.
Pros of the Review-In this review they refer to the ProV1 as the "Unofficial King" of golf balls
-They have a new core for improved aerodynamics
-Very few golf balls "feel" like a ProV1
-The new casing layer is great for reducing spin
-Overkill golf ball for mid-high handicappers
-Agreed that less skilled golfers should be buying less expensive balls
Cons of the Review-They label this golf ball as "very expensive" but any quality top-of-the-line golf ball will be right around that $49.99 price point
-They compare the ball often to vice, but you cannot compare these golf balls as they are very different
-None of the plastic harness feel with the ProV1 can be felt in any other ball
Final thoughts-Overall I thought that this review was very in-depth and was overall pretty solid. They made some very solid points about how the ProV1 'feels' like very few balls in the market, which is one of the main reasons that it is crowned the 'Unofficial king' of golf balls. Although this review made some very great points, there were a couple that I disagreed with. First of all, I would not label the ProV1 "very expensive" because any top-of-the-line golf ball will cost the same price. Secondly, I would not even think about comparing the ProV1 to a golf ball such as Vice, which are not any where near the quality of a ProV1, they are really only compareable to some Bridgestone balls or the Calloway Chrome Soft. Lastly, I believe that the Calloway Chrome Soft puts up a good fight on the 'feel' aspect of the golf ball, which is why I disagree with their statementn of 'None of the plastic harness feel with the ProV1 can be felt in any other ball".
