Calloway Chrome Soft Review by Golf Insider UK
For my second "Reviewing Reviews" segment, I have decided to compare and contrast my review to Golfinsideruk.com's Chrome Soft review to my Chrome Soft review.
Pros of the Review-They talk about the Chrome Softs unique 4-piece construction
-They talk about the ball's hex dimple pattern
-They also refer to Chrome Softs unique two-piece core
-The ball has surprisingly long distance, and is not just for fast swing players
-Overkill golf ball for mid-high handicappers
Cons of the Review-They say that the spin on the ball is low, which it is actually not very low
-They say that you 'feel like you need to compress it' which is honestly untrue and incorrect
-"The durability is good" - one of the worst balls 'durability wise' on the market
Final thoughts-Overall I thought that this review was very in-depth and was overall pretty solid. They made some very solid points about how this ball is actually able to be used by low-med-high swing speed players, because the technology maximises the distance from the ball. They also refer to its unique 4-piece construction, which is not seen on many golf balls today. I disagree with the fact that they say that the Chrome Soft X has good durability. From my personal experience, the ball tends to get very chewed up and loses its color very quickly.
