Design thinking is a step-by-step process on how we can dive into our creative minds. It is made up of several steps including, empathize, define, ideate, prototype, and test. These steps all combine in order to bring the best out of our creative minds. When we use all these steps, we come up with new innovative ideas that can be beneficial to our lives and our society.
My "How might we" statement is as follows: How might we grow confidence in our fellow golfers by designing a website that personally reviewed golf balls with google sites. I will use this statement to guide how I make my website. I will take my golf experience and design my website based off of my personal golf experience. This will instill confidence in fellow golfers because I am a golfer just like them- which is why they would prefer my website. My website will have personal reviews because I am taking time to play with each ball, and get a feel for each ball. So overall, my "how might we" statement is beneficial to guide my research because of me being the perfect "everyday golfer" to help describe the balls for other golfers out there.
My main overall takeaway from design thinking has to do with the ideation stage. I have learned that there are no "bad/wrong" ideas, and the more ideas the better. I have taken away the fact that you are encouraged to be open to all ideas, because the more ideas you have the better your final idea will be. I also realized that all of the steps fit into each other like a puzzle- they are all necessary for the next one to happen. Overall, my main takeaways from design thinking is to be open and have a lot of ideas, and that all of the steps are necessary for the next one to happen.
