As part of Aultman Health Foundation’s mission to lead our community to improved health, the Aultman Ambassador Program (AAP) provides an opportunity to empower high school students to be Aultman Ambassadors to engage their peers, families and communities in promoting sustainable, healthy lifestyle changes. AAP is partnered with the Alliance for a Healthier Generation Healthy Schools Program to provide evidence-based resources on the core principles of the AAP: Nutrition, Hydration, Physical Activity, Sleep and Stress
-Physical activity can reduce health the risk of developing negative health conditions
-Physical activity reduces symptoms of depression and anxiety
-Physical activity improves overall well-being
-Increase bright light exposure during the day
-Reduce electronics in the evening
-Try to sleep and wake on a consistent routine
-Always use positive self talk
-Take a walk, run or exercise
-Express gratitude
-Eat hydrating foods
-Replace electrolytes when needed
-Know signs of dehydration
-Make half your plate fruits
-Vary your proteins
-Make half of your grains whole
Each month through April, Aultman Ambassador Program will provide a healthy challenge focused around its Core Principles.
